Two Marygrove student-athletes received United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I All-American honors for their achievements during the 2015-16 basketball season, as Nate Taylor made the men’s Second-Team and Elisha Major earned Honorable Mention accolades on the women’s side. Members of the Marygrove men’s and women’s basketball programs received post-season honors by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), the league announced this week. Marygrove Mustangs student athlete Elisha Major (Flushing, Mich., Flushing High School) received Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades for the 2015-16 season, the WHAC released this week. Major, a junior guard, was the leading scorer in the WHAC for the season, averaging 18.2 points per game. Mustangs Drop Season Finale to Concordia, 89-65

Marygrove couldn’t match the intensity of the visiting Cardinals, as it dropped its regular season finale by a score of 89-65 to Concordia. The loss concludes the Mustangs’ regular season with an overall record of 5-25, (5-17 WHAC). Marygrove dug itself into a big hole early, falling behind 20-0 before converting its first points around the 4-minute mark of the first quarter, ultimately dropping it season finale to Concordia, 92-67.
