Grand Blanc Duo Sticks Together; Miller Commits
GRAND BLANC, Mich. — On Tuesday (5/14), head coach Dave Sichterman and the men’s basketball staff received a double-dip of great news when a pair of Grand Blanc High School’s brightest stars, David Battle and Kenneth Miller, signed on to continue their educational and athletic pursuits at Marygrove College.
KENNETH MILLER
Miller, a crafty 6′ guard, will join family member and 2010 Flint Hamady graduate, Darryll Dixon, and fellow commit David Battle on the Marygrove College Men’s Basketball team next season. The three-year varsity standout for Grand Blanc High School culminated a stellar career by helping take the Bobcats to new heights in 2012-13. Leading the team in scoring at a 14PPG clip, Miller helped guide the Bobcats to the school’s first undefeated regular season campaign (20-0). The season brought three Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA) team awards: KLAA West Division Champions, Conference Champions, and KLAA Association Champions.
The phenomenal 2012-13 season ended shortly after Miller and the Bobcats brought home a MHSAA District Championship with a stellar record of 22-1. At season’s end, the team captain and Co-MVP was named to his second straight KLAA All-Conference Team.
On the AAU circuit, Miller played six years for the heralded Flint Dream Team and was joined by fellow Marygrove signee David Battle last year. The pair helped the Dream Team to a great season.

Coach Sichterman on Miller: Like David, KJ is a great addition to our team. He will add to our depth at point guard and will have the unique opportunity to learn from his cousin, Darryll Dixon. KJ is a scoring point guard that can play off the ball which will bode well in our system. He was looked to for leadership on his successful high school team, which is another reason why we pursued him. I look forward to coaching KJ soon.
