DeVoe Returns For WHAC Championship

DeVoe, facing the potential of her last NAIA race, will look to leave it all on the line as she sets her sights on a top finish in hopes for an invite to nationals. Despite Saturday’s (Nov. 3) outcome, DeVoe will race in next weekend’s United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship.

A full team, headlined by the upstart Mercedesz Brown (Redford, Mich./Thurston), will flank DeVoe at the WHAC Championship event. Freshmen Devin Willis (Flint, Mich./Carman Ainsworth) and Diamond Easton (Detroit, Mich./Allen Academy) will also look to contend for the Mustangs.

Women’s soccer standout Jessica McClendon (Canton, Mich./Madonna University) will return to the all-terrain course after her season on the pitch ended Wednesday (Oct. 31). LaNyck Washington (Detroit, Mich./East Kentwood) will also race in her final cross country event for the Mustangs on Saturday.
