Foley Standouts Join Mustangs: Sarah Kator

DETROIT, MI–A busy day for Marygrove College Women’s Soccer kicked off with the signing of a pair of Madison Heights Bishop Foley standouts. Assistant Coach Jim Stachura targeted the talented duo since he came aboard the soccer program late last year. Sarah Kator would be the first to sign out of the pair.

Kator signs with Marygrove as an experienced midfielder with plenty of athleticism. Her 14 years of soccer experience landed her four years on varsity at Bishop Foley. Kator began the lost list of awards in 2008 when she was named All-League, All-County and All-State. Although the all the awards have not been decided for the 2009 campaign, Kator is expected to notch plenty more accolades in the upcoming weeks. She was named All-Catholic League 2009 recently.

Additionally, Kator helped lead the Bishop Foley squad to the 2008 MHSAA State Championship. Bishop Foley is currently en route for a return trip to the MHSAA State Finals after a successful regular season.

Coach Stachura on Kator: Sarah is a hard working midfielder who is very mindful defensively. She will be a jump start to our attack with her exceptional passing abilities. Along with being very knowledgeable about the game, her patience and decision making will be a tremendous asset to our program this fall.
