Spartan Invite Recap

EAST LANSING, Mich.-Competing without lone returner Sara Fournier, the youthful Mustangs entered a field of 231 competitors for a tough 6k battle.

Showcasing continual improvement, freshman Crystal Macon found a stride good enough for a time of 34:17 over the 6k course. Coming off an injury, freshman Lydia Taylor entered her first intercollegiate race with high hopes. Taylor, like Macon excels in track & field, finished her first ever distance event with a time of 35:26. Both women will continue to run cross country as part of year-round training for indoor/outdoor track & field.
