Tommy Titan Too Much for Lady ‘Stangs
NORTHVILLE, Mich.-Cass Benton proved to be too tall of an order for the Lady Mustangs on Saturday. Nursing injuries and illness, two Mustangs finished the 56-person race.
Sophomore standout Sara Fournier finished the daunting 5k race in 54th place with a time of 27:15. She was followed closely by freshman Crystal Macon who finished with a time of 27:46, good for 56th place.
Next week, the Mustangs will travel to Michigan State University for a Friday matinee race on MSU’s Golf Course. The well-known course is set to be host to over 200 competitors stretching throughout the Great Lakes region.
