Mustangs Health & Wellness Department Supports Sexual Awareness Month

DETROIT, Mich. – The Marygrove College Athletics and Wellness Department teamed up with the City of Detroit Health and Wellness yesterday to educate the Mustang community about Sexual Awareness Month.

Marygrove College hosted a Sexually Transmitted Diseases Surveillance and Intervention Program in the Madame Cadillac Building from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Free HIV and STD testing were given to everyone who showed up. The day was a huge success and is expected to take place once again next year. 

The goal of Sexual Awareness Month (SAM) is to raise public awareness about sexually transmitted diseases, violence, and to help to educate communities on how to prevent it.
