Mustangs Dominate Bluffton
BLUFFTON-Ohio.  The Marygrove College women’s soccer team won their first game of the year against Bluffton University 4-0.  The Mustangs were led Saturday afternoon by Whitney Cole (FR/Westland, MI) who scored a career high (4) goals. Â
The Mustangs (1-3, 0-0 WHAC) led the Beavers early in the contest after Whitney Cole scored in the sixth minute.  Cole scored once again in the 22nd minute to extend the Mustangs lead to 2-0 going into halftime.
Cole would not be done scoring, she earned her third goal in the 60th minute and would score again three minutes later. Â This improved the Mustangs lead to 4-0.
The Mustangs defense was lead by team captain Cayleigh Scott (SO/Westland, MI) who played goalkeeper due to an injured Melyssa Olmstead (FR/Ontario, Canada).  Scott stopped all 13 shots on goal. Â
The next Mustang women’s soccer game is home against the University of Saint Francis on September 14th. Â
