Men’s Track Travels to SHU Saturday for Don Kleinow Invite

DETROIT, Mich. –Siena Heights University (SHU) will be the host of Saturdays (April 12) men’s track meet Saturday when the Mustangs caravan westward to take part in the Don Kleinow Invitational. The one-day meet – hosted by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) counterpart SHU Saints – will mark the first outdoor competition of the season for the Mustangs.

Led by head coach LaCema Womack, the Mustangs will trot out three participants in Adrian led by veterans Robert Crockett (Detroit, Mich./King) and Marcell Houston (Detroit, Mich./Mumford). The pair will be joined by sophomore basketball student-athlete Cheikh Ka (Southfield, Mich./Lathrup) as they aim to get the season started on a good note Saturday.

Crockett and Ka will run the 400 and 1,500m, while Houston will compete in the 200 and 800m events.

Scheduled times for Marygrove-entered events:
1 p.m. – 1,500m
2 p.m. – 400m
3 p.m. – 800m
3:50 p.m. – 200m
