Mustangs Start Hot…Finish Cold

MISHAWAKA, Ind-A strong start ignited the Mustangs to a first-set thriller on Thursday afternoon at Bethel College. However, the home Pilots quickly dowsed any fire the Mustangs tried to start as they regrouped to roll off a convincing three-set sweep.

The Pilots narrowly escaped the first set (25-22) after an impressive showing by the youthful Mustangs. After surviving the scare, the Pilots dismissed the Mustangs 25-12 and 25-11 to finish the match (3-0).

The visiting ‘Stangs were led by Jalissa Favors and Jaci Michetti with 5 kills each. Megan Gohl tacked on 20 assists, while Shannon Pietruszka added 15 digs.
